Dancers wear many hats. As creatives, performing artists, and athletes it's not always easy to pull ourselves up and draw inspiration on a whim. So it is important to ground ourselves and find clarity immediately when we face threats to our creative expression. One way to do this is with the power of crystals.
Crystals are something that I got exposed to at a later age, but like the saying goes, "better late than never. I fully believe in the power of these stones and that they hold charged ions from the earth. If stones and crystals don't have power then why are they in every piece of technology that we own? Did you know clocks are ran on crystal energy? Yep, so the next time someone tries to tell you, "Crystals are a bunch of hocus-pocus," politely agree to disagree. You can't argue with sheep anyway.
What are crystals?
According to Artsy.com, "The various gems, rocks, and precious or semi-precious stones considered crystals are each believed to have a unique set of properties: They work with specific chakras, act as holding chambers for energies, or work to protect you from negative energy."
Activating and charging crystals
In order to bring out the properties of your crystals, it is believed that you must activate and charge the crystals. Crystals have different activation methods but my favorite ways include leaving it out in a full moon, smudging with sage, or by placing on a slab of selenite (read to the end to discover the secrets of selenium).
Set your intention.
Once your stones are charged and activated you can set your intentions. Be very clear, concise and specific when directing your thoughts/goals to your crystal.
Their powerful intrinsic energies can serve as mirrors to reveal your true path and link you to that part of yourself that is all-seeing and all-knowing.

Once your intention is set, place your crystals around your home, studio or workplace.
